I love my pets. I love walking them. I love curling up on the couch with them. The only thing I used to hate was feeding them.
The tablespoon wouldn't get into the bottom of the tin without me having to reach in, trying not to touch the sides of the tin with my hand. Sometimes the spoon would even bend. And while I love them, I certainly didn't want to eat my breakfast with the same spoon that I had used to serve up their food - no matter how well it had been washed.
So I bought a serving spoon and it was designated as the 'pet spoon'. But it too had problems. The end of the spoon was too pointy to effectively scrape the bottom of the tin. The handle was too long and sometimes the tin toppled over with the weight of the spoon. And after it was washed sometimes I couldn't remember which serving spoon was theirs and which was mine. So I drew a paw print on it.
I expressed my annoyance to friends at dinner one night and they agreed and said the magic words 'Why don't you make one then?' And so I did. A pet spoon designed to get all of the food out of the tin, without getting any on your hand. And while I was at it - a pet cup for measuring and serving dry food too.
Less mess, no fuss, more time for cuddling on the couch. |
